In 1 Corinthians 15:35–58, Paul explains the resurrection body using the image of a seed that dies to bring new life. The raised body will be imperishable, glorious, and spiritual, unlike the natural one. Through Christ, the last Adam, believers will bear the heavenly image. At the last trumpet, the dead will be raised and the living changed—death is swallowed up in victory. Paul concludes by urging believers to stand firm, for their labor in the Lord is not in vain.
