Paul declares that love is the supreme virtue, surpassing all spiritual gifts, knowledge, and acts of faith or sacrifice. Without love, all other deeds are empty. He describes love as patient, kind, humble, and enduring—never failing. While spiritual gifts are temporary and partial, love is eternal and complete. Ultimately, faith, hope, and love remain, but the greatest of these is love.
