Hebrews 11:1-7

Sep 13, 2026    Daniel Hancock

Hebrews 11:1–7 explains what faith is and how it is demonstrated through trusting God. Faith means being confident in what we hope for and trusting in what we cannot yet see. The passage gives examples of people who pleased God by believing and obeying Him:

Abel offered God a better sacrifice because of his faith.

Enoch walked faithfully with God and was taken from this life without experiencing death.

Noah trusted God's warning about the coming flood and built the ark, even though he had not seen the flood.

The passage emphasizes that faith is essential to pleasing God, because we must believe that He exists and rewards those who sincerely seek Him.
