Hebrews 9:23-28

Hebrews 9:23–28 explains that Christ’s sacrifice is superior to the repeated sacrifices of the Old Covenant because he offered himself once, fully and finally, to deal with sin. Unlike the earthly priests who repeatedly entered the earthly sanctuary, Christ entered the heavenly sanctuary once for all and now appears before God on behalf of his people. His first coming dealt decisively with sin, and his promised return will bring salvation to those who eagerly await him.
