Nehemiah 9:38-10:39

Mar 1, 2026    Daniel Hancock

After confessing their sins and recounting God’s covenant faithfulness (Neh. 9), the people of Israel make a binding covenant renewal. In Nehemiah 9:38, they commit themselves in writing, sealing the agreement with the names of their leaders, Levites, and priests.

In chapter 10, the document lists those who signed the covenant, beginning with Nehemiah and including priests, Levites, and other leaders. The rest of the people—priests, Levites, gatekeepers, singers, temple servants, and families—join in taking a solemn oath.
