Nehemiah 1:1-11

Nehemiah hears that Jerusalem’s walls are broken and its people are in distress. Deeply grieved, he fasts and prays to God, confessing Israel’s sins and reminding God of His promises. He asks for God’s favor as he prepares to act to help restore Jerusalem.
