Hebrews 8:1-13

Hebrews 8 presents Jesus as the superior High Priest who mediates a better covenant. Drawing from Jeremiah 31:31–34, the chapter explains that the new covenant surpasses the old because it is founded on better promises: God writes His laws on the hearts of His people, grants an intimate knowledge of Himself, and fully forgives sin. The old covenant, with its earthly priesthood and repeated sacrifices, was temporary and pointed forward to the perfect ministry of Christ. Hebrews 8 emphasizes that through Jesus, believers now enjoy direct access to God and the blessings of the new covenant.
