Hebrews 7:23-28

Jesus is the eternal High Priest, unlike the many priests who served temporarily because they died. Since He lives forever, He continually intercedes for those who come to God through Him. He is holy, sinless, and perfect, and unlike other priests, He did not need to offer sacrifices for His own sins. Instead, He offered Himself once for all as the perfect sacrifice, making Him the complete and permanent High Priest.
