Hebrews 2:10-18
May 3, 2026 • Trent Brown
Hebrews 2:10–18 emphasizes that Jesus became fully human in order to bring many sons and daughters to glory through His suffering. As the perfect founder of salvation, He shared in humanity’s flesh and blood so that through His death He could destroy the power of death held by the devil and free those enslaved by the fear of death. Because He suffered and was tempted as a man, Jesus is now a merciful and faithful High Priest who helps His people in their temptations and makes atonement for their sins. Key themes include suffering, incarnation, deliverance, priesthood, and help for the tempted.
