Hebrews 1:5-14

Apr 19, 2026    Daniel Hancock

Hebrews 1:5–14 emphasizes the absolute superiority of the Son over angels. The author strings together Old Testament quotations to show that, unlike angels, the Son is uniquely begotten, enthroned, and worshiped as divine. He is the eternal King whose righteous rule and unchanging nature set Him apart, while angels are merely ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation. The key idea is that Jesus is not just greater in rank—He is categorically different, sharing in the very identity and authority of God.
