Does David’s unfaithfulness nullify the faithfulness of God? By no means! Even when “we have left undone those things which we ought to have done, and we have done those things which we ought not to have done, and there is no health in us,” Yahweh remains “a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness” (Exod 34:6).
